Tool 1: The Wheel Of Life
Stop ignoring the problem. Give it attention. The Wheel of Life helps you balance and improve key areas of your life, such as work, relationships, health, and personal growth. Take a look at this example:
Here are the four steps to complete a self-reflective Wheel of Life experiment:
Identify the areas of life you want to assess, such as work, relationships, health, and personal growth.
Rate your level of satisfaction in each area on a scale of 1 to 10.
Plot your scores on the wheel, creating a visual representation of your life balance.
Use the results to identify areas for improvement.

Tool 2: Brain-dump
Brain-dump is a quick and simple technique to create clarity and unearth hidden thoughts by writing down anything and everything related to a topic without judgment. Here are the steps for conducting a brain-dump:
Choose a topic or problem to focus on. For example the area from the Wheel of Life with the lowest score.
Get a blank sheet of paper or open a blank document on your computer.
Set a timer for 10 minutes.
Start writing down everything that comes to mind related to the topic or problem, without stopping to judge or organize the information.
After 10 minutes, review the information you have written down and look for patterns or connections.
Use the information gathered from your brain-dump as a starting point for further exploration and problem-solving.
By following these simple steps, you can use brain-dump as a tool to quickly gather your emotions, thoughts and ideas related to a topic, allowing you to see the information as a whole and identify potential solutions.
Tool 3: “Check-In” with yourself
Take a few moments multiple times a day to journal your emotions, physical sensations, thoughts, and connection to others. I have used this tool regularly over a number of years. It always brings me back to the present moment of clarity.
A regular practice over a few weeks will help you break free from the autopilot and help you'll gain a deeper understanding of yourself. Here’s how to do it:
Pick your favourite way of journaling (I use the DayOne-App)
Make a template with 5-6 questions, such as:
How am I feeling right now - emotionally?
What am I experiencing in my body?
What am i experiencing in my brain?
What am i feeling in my soul (connected to me/others)?
What was I just doing?
Any other comments?
Set an alarm 4-5 times a day. Each time the alarm goes off, go through the questions (takes 2-3 mins)
Resume your day
Fuel your personal growth and transformation by incorporating these powerful coaching tools into your daily routine on the journey to create the life you really want to life!
